Transaction Lifecycle Utility

This utility was formerly called the "T-tool" because it shows all the related T accounts of a transaction. The purpose of this tool is to help troubleshoot accounting anomalies. The Transaction Lifecycle utility is unique in NetForum because it allows you to see the numbers for all affected accounts laid out in a T, which makes it easier to catch mistakes, such as duplicate charges.

Note: The Transaction Lifecycle link is available only for invoices in closed batches.

A new tab opens with a list of line items for the invoice. Each line items appears with the following information:

  • Line item name
  • Price

Click on the name of a line item to see the lifecycle of the transaction spelled out per T account in the following order:

  • (account code), (A/R), Account Name
  • (account code), (Deffered Revenue), Account Name
  • (account code), (Revenue), Account Name
  • (account code), (Liability), Account Name
  • (account code), (Write Off), Account Name
  • (account code), (Asset), Account Name
  • (account code), (Cash), Account Name

Note: Click the question mark icon to view the line item GUID. A GUID is NetForum's unique identifier for this line item. Abila Support can use this number to find this specific line item. Give this number to support if you need help.
